About Queens Prayer Movement

History

Our story starts way back 2018, when Pastor Winnie Muiruri obey the word of God.

Queens Prayer Movement was founded in 2018 by Pastor Winnie Muiruri after receiving a divine burden to restore women to God. The journey did not happen overnight. It was birthed through years of faithful prayer, quiet obedience, and tireless service in God’s kingdom.

Through seasons of seeking God and standing in the gap for others, Winnie found favor before God to carry this divine assignment.

What began as a small prayer fellowship has, over time, grown into a Christ-centered movement that continues to impact women across nations. Today, Queens Prayer Movement equips women spiritually through the Word of God and the power of prayer, helping them grow in faith, identity, and purpose.

The prayer movement exists to raise and extend the altar of prayer among women, both locally and internationally—on the solid foundation of Scripture.

We focus on women because they are the backbone of families, communities, and nations. When a woman knows God and is healed, her entire household is restored. For instance, the Bible shows how God used women mightily. Deborah led Israel as a judge, Rahab saved her father’s household, Mary birthed the Savior, and Abigail stood in the gap for her family. These examples remind us that when women arise in prayer and purpose, destinies shift and nations are changed.

In today’s world, many women face emotional pain, rejection, and financial struggles. Through prayer and mentorship, we help women rediscover their identity in Christ, walk in freedom, and rise above challenges. We mentor young girls and women of all ages, guiding them to grow spiritually, build confidence, and fulfill their God-given purpose.

Our ministry also extends compassion through mercy work and evangelism. Every Tuesday and Thursday, we feed street families in Nairobi. On the first Saturday of each month, we distribute food to the needy. These acts of love allow us to demonstrate Christ’s heart to the less fortunate while sharing the gospel.

We hold our main fellowship every first Saturday of the month, where women gather to worship, pray, and learn the Word of God. Additionally, we host online teachings on Facebook three times a week through Queens Prayer Movement and Winnie Muiruri pages, allowing women from all over the world to connect, learn, and grow in faith.

Queens Prayer Movement is not tied to any single church or denomination. We are a movement of women united by faith, love, and purpose, open to all who desire to grow in prayer and walk closely with God. You don’t need to leave your church to join us—just a heart ready to seek God and stand in the gap for others.

Through this movement, countless women have experienced healing, restored marriages, renewed faith, and financial empowerment. We’ve witnessed lives transformed, families reconciled, and spiritual revival in homes and communities. We are raising a generation of praying, empowered women—because when a woman prays, God answers.

If you have a daughter, sister, or friend, let them join us. Together, we can make our nation strong, families united, and lives aligned with God’s purpose.
